Houses

A large part of our pastoral care stems from our House system, all pupils are allocated a House.  Within these Houses they have an array of support.  Their first point of contact is their tutor, they look after the children both academically and pastorally.  They also have a Housemaster/mistress (HSM) who oversees the whole House.

Being part of a House gives a real sense of belonging and there are regular House competitions where points are allocated to go towards the overall winning boys’ and girls’ house.  The winners “Nail Up” at our famous Nailing Up ceremony. There are 4 day houses in Prep School and 1 boarding house, there are 5 day house in Senior School and 3 boarding houses.  For more information on our boarding houses see Boarding
