Clubs & Activities

Our comprehensive extra-curricular activities programme reflects our aim to provide all pupils with a balanced, all-round education with something to appeal to every child. The range of activities on offer contributes significantly to the personal, social and educational development of the children, allowing them to develop their potential, confidence and self-esteem along the way.

Held during break-times, at lunchtime and after lessons in the afternoon, our activity clubs provide an excellent opportunity for the children to develop further their talents and interests and often to try something new.

The activities on offer can include:
Rugby – for all abilities and team practices;
Hockey – see skill levels improve on the astro-turf and practice for matches;
Art – opportunities for all age groups with a chance to try different media and techniques;
Pre-Prep Choir, Junior Choir, Harmony Choir and Chapel Choir – singing for enjoyment and for concert and Chapel performances;
Prep Orchestra – an opportunity to play and perform with a full orchestra;
Recorder/Strings/Woodwind/Brass Groups – ensemble practice and concert performances;
Drama – a play for all children at least once a year;
ICT – coding, website design and discovering the wonders of the web and developing IT skills;
Football – for all abilities and team practices;
Girls and boys 5-a-side football – friendly break-time leagues;
Netball – build on skills learned in games lessons and practise for school matches;
Rounders – fun for all and school matches in the summer;
Athletics – Gold, Silver and Bronze standard awards and a chance to improve performance;
Cricket – professional coaching in winter, team practice in summer;
Judo*- qualified instructor, grading tests and certificates;
Taekwondo*- qualified black-belt Kukkiwon instructor teaching the art of self-defence;
Ballet*- qualified dance teacher, for those who enjoy dancing, performing and undertaking grades;
Jazz and Tap* – qualified instructor teaching in school;
Yoga* – qualified instructor, helping pupils improve their strength, co-ordination, flexibility and concentration;
Chess – a chance to learn the game, take part in a local league or play just for fun;
French, German and Spanish clubs – develop classroom learning or try a new language;
Cookery – develop culinary skills and cook treats for all the family;
Tennis – a chance try a new sport or for those who have played before to develop their game;
Science – an opportunity to carry out investigations and experiments;
Gardening – a chance for children to grow their own crops and learn about plants;
Philosophy – expanding children’s thinking about a variety of issues;
Mindfulness – helping pupils to relax their minds and bodies.
