Guardians

Parents of students who live overseas must appoint a suitable adult to act as a Guardian while the student is in the United Kingdom.

Whilst parents remain the first line of communication, the role of the Guardian is an extremely important one. The Guardian takes responsibility for the pupil when they are not at school. For most pupils this will be rare, but it is a requirement. The school expects Guardians to fulfil key responsibilities and, in the unlikely event of serious illness or suspension from school, to accommodate the student on the day the request is made.

The name, address and telephone number of the Guardian should be lodged with the school on the Notification of Guardianship Form provided during the admissions process. In the event of a Guardianship changing during the course of a student’s time with us, it is the parents’ responsibility to notify the school.
