Sport and Play

Our focus on academic achievement is balanced with a recognition of the importance of play and physical activity. We believe in giving our children space to enjoy their childhood without pressure to grow up too quickly.

Play provides children with the opportunity to develop their social skills and their imaginations as well as experiencing teamwork and the importance of inclusion. Supervised playtime takes place during morning breaks, lunchtimes and after school with different areas of the school grounds focused towards different age groups to appeal to all children.

Our Prep School sporting facilities include an outstanding, enclosed astro-turf pitch and netball court. Prep School has full use of the main school grounds, which are marked out for rugby, football, crickets, athletics and rounders depending upon the season, as well as the all-weather pitches and netball courts.

Swimming lessons take place weekly in the school’s heated indoor swimming pool for all children at Prep School.
