Our Christian ethos underpins education at the Prep School and Chapel plays a part in school life for all our children. Chapel is at the heart of the school estate and the School Chaplain leads a weekly morning service in Chapel in which the children play an active role, quickly developing their sense of spirituality.

Throughout the course of the school year we hold several important events in Chapel including Harvest Festival, the Pre-Prep Nativity Play, Christingle Service, Carol Services, Founders’ Day Service and the Trinity Term Evensong, in which children give readings and lead prayers.

The Prep School Harmony Choir regularly sings descants in our Wednesday Chapel service and pupils can also join the Chapel Choir, which accompanies the worship during Sunday services attended by our boarding community.

“Regular participation in chapel services gives children spiritual experiences and they join in the actions of worship songs in assembly with vigour.” Independent Schools Inspectorate, 2016
