HeadSpace Speaker Programme: Phil Muriel

This week’s HeadSpace offered students a fascinating insight into careers related to languages, as we welcomed experienced interpreter and translator, Phil Muriel, to Barney today.
Phil, who can speak English, French, Polish and Spanish fluently, spoke to students about the differences between interpreters and translators, including the various sectors in which these skills can be used.
He also emphasised the importance of learning languages in general and how it can unlock opportunities across multiple sectors.
