Well done to Barney’s mathematicians in Years 9 and 11 who participated in the recent UK Mathematical Trust Intermediate Maths Challenge.
The competition encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought and fluency and is designed to make students think, covering a range of mathematical topics, including algebra, geometry, number theory, and logic.
Once again, our students have achieved some excellent results including 9 Bronze medals, four Silvers and two Golds. Well done to Ben and Sebastian in Year 11 who have since qualified for March’s ‘Pink Kangaroo’ follow-on round.
