Exercise Cambrian Patrol

21 Apr 2022

Many congratulations to cadet RSM Jack B, corporal Henry T and lance corporals Charlie H, Sam B, Freddie M, Harry H, Jack R and Sylvan T, who completed the toughest and most gruelling military competition, Exercise Cambrian Patrol, during the Easter holidays.

Teams had to self-navigate the 40-mile course over the difficult terrain in less than 48 hours, while carrying all their kit and equipment, and were tested on their military skills at various checkpoints throughout the course in Wales.

It was a test of leadership, self-discipline, courage, physical endurance and determination, and despite the freezing conditions, the months of training paid off as the team were awarded bronze medals for their efforts.

This is the first time that Barney CCF has entered the competition, so to receive medals is an amazing achievement.

A huge thank you must go to Mr Wardman, who trained the team throughout the year.
