Lectern Club – Decades

The final Lectern Club of the current school year was certainly one to remember, as it marked the culmination for many of our Upper Sixth, who have been staunch supporters of this wonderful Barney society.
The theme of the evening was whether or not the speakers were born in the correct decade, which produced many thought-provoking and incredibly written speeches – well done to all speakers who displayed incredible bravery.
Our thanks, as ever, go to the catering staff and Lectern Committee for organising and delivering an amazing evening.
A special mention must go to Mrs Beaty, who oversaw her final Lectern Club after 14 years’ impeccable service.
We look forward to hosting future Lectern Clubs, as a new breed of public speakers get acquainted with our famed Barney lectern.
