Many congratulations, Lindy!

01 Oct 2021

Despite not winning the Supporting Staff Member of the Year Award in The Northern Echo’s Education Awards, we are incredibly proud of Lindy Themistocleous, our beloved Senior Boys’ Boarding House Matron.

To be a finalist is a magnificent achievement, in what is a keenly contested award with entrants from across the region – well done to all winners and finalists, and many thanks to The Northern Echo for hosting (virtually) a fantastic evening.

Lindy’s recognition is fully deserved, who, alongside her boarding colleagues, work incredibly hard to ensure our boarders are cared for and looked after each and every day, even more so during these unprecedented times.

Lindy said: “To all my boys in the boarding house – it’s because of you that I love what I do. You have all been amazing and each and every one of you has a special place in my heart.”

“It goes without saying that being part of our wonderful Barney community has been incredible and I thank you so much for believing in me and making me feel part of this wonderful School.”

Our attention now turns to the Independent School of the Year Awards 2021 on 7th October, where Lindy is a finalist in the Unsung Hero category.

All the very best of luck, Lindy, and well done once again.
