Well done, Lindy!

To cap off a fantastic first day of term, we are delighted to share that Lindy, our beloved Senior Boys’ Boarding House Matron, has been named a finalist in two prestigious award categories!
Having been shortlisted in the Independent School of the Year Awards 2021, she has now been named a finalist in its Unsung Hero category.
Additionally, Lindy is a finalist in the Supporting Staff Member of the Year category of The Northern Echo’s Education Awards.
These latest successes follow her Highly Commended recognition in the Boarding Schools’ Association (BSA) Awards 2021.
Lindy’s recognition is fully deserved, who, alongside her boarding colleagues, work incredibly hard to ensure our boarders are cared for and looked after each and every day, even more so during these unprecedented times.
Commenting on her shortlistings, she said: “To all my boys in the boarding house – it’s because of you that I love what I do. You have all been amazing and each and every one of you has a special place in my heart.”
“It goes without saying that being part of our wonderful Barney Community has been incredible and I thank you so much for believing in me and making me feel part of this wonderful School.”
