Mathematical success for Barnardians!

Despite a challenging year, Barnardians have continued to thrive in the classroom and, during periods of Learning@Home, in their workspaces at home.

We are delighted to share the following pupils’ Mathematical success, including United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) prizes and certificates, Newcastle University Maths Challenge accreditations and internal awards, including the Tony Parkinson Award for Mathematics.

Furthermore, on Friday 30th April, four of our top Sixth Form Mathematicians (Ryan, Tristan, Bleddyn and Aidan) took part in the Advanced Maths Senior Team Maths Challenge via video link with other schools. They competed over three demanding rounds: Function Detective, Annulus Calculations and a Paired Relay. The team performed strongly, led until the final question, and placed second by one point!
