An unprecedented year for everyone

23 Mar 2021

As ever, we are grateful for our community’s support and engagement, which has helped us navigate through the challenges brought about by COVID.

Our Learning@Home programmes proved to be a successful alternative to classroom-based teaching, but we are thrilled that our students are now safely back at School, albeit in year group bubbles, interacting with their classmates and teachers alike.

We were fortunate that we were able to carry on many of our traditions over the last 12 months, such as Nailing Up, our Remembrance Day Service as well as many of our House Competitions.

While it has not been quite the same as welcoming spectators or visitors to Barney, we tried our best to cover all the amazing events and activities that you have all been accustomed to through virtual renditions, including our A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols service and the Prep School Nativity.

We very much look forward to the moment we can welcome you back to Barney, which we hope is very soon.

On a final note, we have produced a short year review video, which acts as a small reminder of some of the ways Barney has handled these exceptional 12 months.

Follow the link below to view it or you can visit one of our social media profiles.

Wishing the entire Barney Community all the very best and thank you for your support.

Stay safe.
