Commenting on today’s unprecedented 2019-2020 GCSE Results Day, Tony Jackson, Headmaster of Barnard Castle School, said: “We are extremely proud of all Barney pupils receiving their GCSE results today, under even more extraordinary circumstances.
“Despite not being together in person this year, we are supporting our students remotely and continue to offer advice and encouragement as they prepare to enter the next stages of their lives, whether in continuing their education to Sixth Form or through an apprenticeship.
“We look forward to welcoming the newest intake of students to our thriving Sixth Form Centre next month, especially those new to Barney, as we endeavour to support their aspirations and prepare them for life beyond education.”
