Happy World Book Day!

It has been a fantastic day at Barney as we embraced World Book Day across Senior and Prep Schools!
Preppies put their creativity to the test as they dressed up as their favourite book characters – ranging from The Fairy Godmother and Harry Potter characters to The Gruffalo and unicorns!
They also took advantage of a ‘bring and buy’ book sale and now have many interesting books to read!
Meanwhile, at Senior School, Year 8-11 English pupils were treated to a visit by playwright and actor David Napthine who is currently working on a project involving Teesdale, and engaged the students with a task to recreate a popular film or book as if it were set in the Dales.
Many thanks to David for his time and efforts and we look forward to celebrating the initiative again next year!
