Our Year 5 pupils have enjoyed an action-packed residential trip to Scotland, embracing every challenge and opportunity that came their way during a memorable weekend of outdoor adventure.
Set against the stunning backdrop of the Scottish countryside, the trip gave pupils the chance to step outside their comfort zones. They tried plenty of new activities and developed valuable skills that will support them in the classroom and in life.
Throughout the weekend, the group took part in a wide range of activities designed to encourage teamwork and confidence. From testing their aim in archery to trying their hand at axe-throwing, pupils approached each challenge with real determination. Evenings were spent gathered around campfires, sharing stories and reflecting on the day’s adventures.
But the residential was about much more than outdoor pursuits. Experiences like these play an important role in helping children develop independence. They also help create stronger friendships and teach the value of supporting one another.
As our Year 5 pupils look ahead to becoming Year 6 leaders next year, opportunities like this help prepare them for the responsibilities that come with being role models within the Prep School. The confidence gained through trying new things and working as a team will undoubtedly serve them well in future.
A huge well done to all involved for making the residential such an enjoyable and rewarding experience. It was character building at its finest and an unforgettable weekend that will be remembered for years to come.
