Director of Sport Welcome

At Barney, sport is for every pupil, whether you’re aiming for elite performance or discovering the joy of fitness. Our inclusive sports program builds more than just physical skills; it nurtures character, resilience, confidence, leadership and teamwork.

We believe in the power of sport to shape young leaders. Our approach, Access + Challenge = Maximal Potential, ensures that every pupil, from beginner to elite, has the support they need to reach their full potential.

Grounded in our values of Community, Character, and Ambition, Barney offers a holistic sports experience for all students. From our U14 netball team reaching National Finals, to pupils training with Red Bull Rugby Academies, ambition and excellence are celebrated.

Our Old Barnardians, including international athletes like Guy Pepper, show that the lessons learned in sport last a lifetime. At Barney, sport is about growth, challenge and personal development, on and off the field.
