Barnard Castle School Padel Court is a new temporary facility, created as part of a 12‑month pilot to introduce one of the UK’s fastest‑growing sports to our School and wider community.
Set in a prominent location at the front of the School grounds, the court offers an inclusive, social and highly engaging playing experience for all ages and abilities, whether you are new to padel or an experienced player. Developed in partnership with leading providers Padel Schools, the facility brings expert support and quality provision to the heart of the programme.
While central to the School’s sporting and co‑curricular programme during the day, the court is also open to the public at dedicated times, helping to build connections, promote active lifestyles and bring the energy of padel to Barney.

All public court bookings are managed through the Nettla app.

The court is available for public bookings during the following times (subject to change):
Term time
- Mon: 8am-11am, 3:30pm-5:00pm, 6pm-9pm
- Tues: 8am-11am, 6pm-9pm
- Wed: 8am-11am, 4pm-5:00pm, 6pm-9pm
- Thur: 8am-11am, 6pm-9pm
- Fri: 8am-2pm, 6pm-9pm
- Saturday: 9am – 5pm
- Sunday: 10am – 6pm
School holidays
- Mon-Sun: 8am-9pm
- Sun: 10am-9pm
- (NB 14 day Christmas closure period)
