This week, some of our talented art students and scholars unleashed their creativity in a thought-provoking art workshop, led by Paul Brandford of We Explore Drawing!
Drawing on his background with renowned institutions like the Royal Academy of Arts and the Royal Drawing School, Paul guided the group through a journey of creative discovery. The session challenged our students to look at their work with fresh eyes by encouraging them to try new ways of thinking through drawing and painting.
Starting out with focused black-and-white studies, the group gradually scaled up their ideas into larger and more expressive painted pieces. The focus of the day was all about taking risks, trusting intuition, and putting your individuality into your work.
A big thank you to Paul for visiting us and sharing such valuable insights with our pupils. Hands-on experiences like this are what make creative life at Barney so special, giving our young artists opportunities to learn from experienced industry figures who can help them exercise their imagination and refine their technique!
