We were delighted to be the education partner supporting London City 7s, and it was fantastic to see the Barney community out in force in the capital on 18th September.
The day brought together Old Barnardians, families, friends, and supporters for a celebration of rugby and community. There was a great atmosphere throughout, with plenty of opportunities to catch up and enjoy a brilliant day of sport.
The day began with the Business Summit, where our Headmaster, David Cresswell, spoke about the Barney Institute for Learning and Innovation. He shared insights into leadership and resilience in young people, reflecting on some of the qualities we work to develop throughout a Barney education.
These themes continued throughout the day. Sport has an important role to play in building confidence, resilience, and teamwork. And events like London City 7s create chances for our wider community to stay connected.
It was a brilliant reminder that the Barney community goes well beyond the School gates. Wherever our pupils and Old Barnardians go, those shared values travel with them.
