Nailing Up Trinity once again brought the Barney community together to celebrate the end of another busy and memorable school year.
One of the School’s most treasured traditions, the event was filled with everything that makes Barney so special. House shouts echoed around the School, gowns were presented, achievements were celebrated, and there was time to reflect on the year that has just passed.
There was plenty of excitement in the House competitions too. Congratulations to Marwood, who claimed the girls’ Nailing Up title. York made history in the boys’ competition, securing their first Nailing Up victory in many years. They shared the honour with Tees after an incredibly rare tie.
It was a remarkable result and one seldom seen in the competition’s long history. The shared victory also completed an outstanding achievement for Tees, who finished the year by winning all three terms.
The celebrations also provided an opportunity to look ahead. On Saturday morning, we welcomed our new prefect team and wished them every success as they prepare to take on their new responsibilities in the year ahead.
At the same time, we said goodbye to those moving on from Barney. There were heartfelt farewells to Mr Usher, Mr Dalton, Mr Alderson, and Mr Butterfield. You’re all much-loved members of staff and have each made an enormous contribution to school life over many years.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year such a special one. We wish all of our pupils, families, and staff a wonderful summer and look forward to sharing more highlights from our end-of-year celebrations over the coming days.
