A short-term stay in Boarding at Barney is an exciting opportunity to gain experience of the British independent education system. Families often choose between a stay for one or two terms, with some opting to spend the whole year here.
International pupils at Barney enjoy tailored learning and full integration into school life, joining lessons, activities and the wider community.
Pupils will follow the normal timetable of their peers, with the opportunity for bespoke English as a Foreign Language lessons where required. Where proficiency in English is already advanced, pupils will access the normal English Language and Literature lessons of their peers.
Pupils are encouraged to integrate fully with their peers from both Boarding and Day Houses by accessing as many of our co-curricular activities as they can during their stay. Previous pupils have become integral members of sports teams, choirs, drama productions, debating teams and the School Council, ensuring they experience a true Barney experience.
Many pupils, after an initial stay, have opted to extend their stay too, with a number remaining to complete their Barney journey in the Upper Sixth.
