Our Activity Weeks are open to all children who are due to start their reception year in September, up to those due to start Year 9 in September.
Children can expect a fun-filled week of activities, ranging from swimming, Forest School and canoeing to onsite activities such as baking and Quick Cricket. Children can opt out of certain activities they are unsure about. However, the more general activities do require everyone to join in.
Bookings for Summer 2025 are now closed, and dates for Summer 2026 will be published later in the year.

How to pay using your childcare vouchers?
Below, we have outlined how to securely pay for Barney Activity Week using childcare vouchers:
- Edenred – when making payment for Edenred, you require our account number, which is P20910987
- Sodexo (Pluxee) – when making payment for Sodexo (Pluxee), you require our Carer ID, which is 803572
- Tax-free Childcare – search the TFC online portal for Barnard Castle School, and our regulator reference is 114336 and postcode is DL12 8UN
For all the other childcare providers, simply search the childcare providers online portal for ‘Barnard Castle School’, select this option and then proceed with your payment.
