Barnard Castle School is set in an impressive 50-acre estate with extensive facilities. We offer some of the best standard of boarding accommodation in the UK.

Overnight accomodation
We offer a range of single, double, triple and quadruple rooms spread across 3 boarding houses. All bedding is provided. We have availability for 190 guests. Every boarding house offers its own communal space with tea and coffee-making facilities.
Our school is available to hire during Easter, the summer and October half term, the dates for which can be found here.

Catering
We have a dedicated catering team who pride themselves on the quality of their food and their rapport with our visitors.
All our food is cooked fresh using locally sourced ingredients. Menus are produced with dietary and nutritional requirements in mind. Menus can be adapted to incorporate BBQs and packed lunches.
Welcoming and well-equipped
Facilities
During your stay, you have full access to our facilities, which include extensive sports fields, a pool, tennis courts, cricket pitches, netball courts and a fitness suite.
We can also provide access to our Conference Centre, Assembly Hall, Music School and multiple alternative spaces. We can adapt to any style of residential group. Wi-Fi is available across the site.
We have ample on-site parking and disability access to most of our buildings.
