Female Founders Fair
On the 12th April, a group of Lower Sixth girls and I had the privilege of travelling down to Queen Mary’s School to the first Female Founders Fair, an event tailored to women wanting to pursue a career in business. The speeches made by female entrepreneurs (the keynote speaker was Carley Jones, the founder and CEO of Kettlebell Kitchen) throughout the day were genuinely thought-provoking and exemplified what women can do when we put our mind to it. This was closely followed by a panel of female industry leaders; here we had the opportunity to ask questions to a group of women who gave us first-hand insight into the minds that created something out of nothing. The event was truly inspiring, a display of empowerment for women and was an honour to attend.
