Brahms Requiem – Bowes Museum
On Wednesday, March 21st four of our most outstanding musicians performed four concertos. Evelyn played the Sammartini Recorder Concerto in F, Michael played the Telemann Viola Concerto in G, Caitlyn played the Cimarosa Oboe Concerto in C minor, and Nathan played the rhapsodic Symphonie Espagnole for Violin by Lalo. Each student played to a very high standard, and it was a pleasure to hear such stunning music making.
In the second half, the Barnard Castle School Choral Society sang the Brahms German Requiem with soprano soloist Philipa Dearsley and baritone soloist, Alan Fairs (Old Barnardian). You can read more about Alan and his career here.
