As part of #nophoneforaweek here at Barney, the Sixth Form students were challenged to go the entire day without their phones. Thirty-four students accepted the challenge and handed their devices to Mr Cresswell and went about their day. The idea is to build relationships and to make a real connection with someone. Our Lower Sixth Form discussed the distractions created by mobile technology and its benefits and downfalls. They finished with taking pen and paper and writing a thank you letter to someone in their lives in order to make that real thoughtful connection. The challenge continues tomorrow.
