Anti-Bullying Week 2017

17 Nov 2017

The theme for this year’s anti-bullying week was ‘all different, all equal’ coordinated by the Anti-Bullying Alliance (www.anti-bullyingalliance.org.uk). The school’s Anti-Bullying Committee has worked hard on producing displays throughout school and delivering presentations in assemblies to years 7-11. Pupils’ also engaged in a dedicated PSHCEE lesson, in which they reflected upon and discussed these topics. There has been a particular emphasis on understanding that people are different from each other and should be respected for their individuality. To add to this, we have discussed how ‘banter’ may become bullying and the importance of recognising where the line is. Pupils will follow up on this with another dedicated lesson with their tutors next week.
