Sleep Out

10 Nov 2017

Staff and pupils have been donating money for one of our teachers to sleep rough for the night.  Barney School Chemistry teacher, Dr Kevin Cosstick, is an avid supporter and fundraiser for Centrepoint in the North East (, a young person’s homeless charity, helping young people to get off the streets and giving them the possibility of a future. Each year he takes part in the “Sleep Out”, sleeping rough to help raise money and awareness for Centrepoint. On Thursday 2nd November, whilst most of us were settling in for the night, with heating on and beds to sleep in, Dr Cosstick and many others bunkered down for the night outside the Stadium of Light in Sunderland.

You can still donate to Dr Cosstick’s sponsorship page at the link below, simply click the “find a friend” tab at the top of the page and search for Kevin Cosstick.
