Lower Sixth Form Industry Day 2017

14 Jun 2017

Our Lower Sixth Form students were given “The Apprentice” experience as part of their Industry Day. Put into teams, they had to create a marketing company from scratch, and pitch their ideas and plans to market Patrick Grant’s new clothing social enterprise, Community Clothing. Given a budget and paired with an industry mentor, they set about creating their presentations, website concepts and even a radio advert. A variety of criteria determined the overall winners, including their final presentation, their ability to follow the brief as well as impressing our panel of guest judges who saw their interactions at first hand. The Sixth Form Centre was a hive of creative ideas and, guided by their mentors, each team produced outstanding presentations and campaign strategies.

We greatly appreciate the time given by our mentors; their time with the students was extremely valuable. They gave an insight into the business world, as well as tips on networking and innovation.
