Law – OB Rachel Metcalf

29.01.2021

We had the pleasure of welcoming OB Rachel Metcalf to Barney this afternoon, albeit virtually, for an insightful discussion as part of our wide-ranging Sixth Form Lecture Series.

Barney Sixth Formers were able to learn more about the Law industry and job opportunities available, as Rachel recalled her time at university and career to date, including a six month period of practising in Singapore.

After achieving a string of top grades while at Barney in her GCSEs and A Levels, Rachel read Law at Durham University, culminating in a First Class Honours degree, before training to become a solicitor.

She joined global law firm Linklaters as a Trainee Solicitor and is now an Associate at the firm’s London offices, specialising in Business Crime, Contentious Regulation and Commercial Litigation.

Many thanks for your time, Rachel, we would like to wish you all the very best in your promising Law career and hope to welcome you back to Barney in the not too distant future!
