All pupils get the opportunity to swim in our indoor pool, whether that be for personal fitness, competitive swimming or rehabilitation after injury.
Pupils are encouraged to develop their swimming skills and given the opportunity to compete in inter-house and inter-school competitions.
In recent years the School has re-won the Bath Cup, the blue ribbon swimming event for all British schools (last won by Barney back in the sixties).
I got a lot out of swimming, not least my experience of being a triallist for the Barcelona Olympics. I am grateful to Mr Monument, himself a first class swimmer, and to our other swimming instructors who coach our pupils from their early years in Prep School right up until they leave.
