It is the best thing we did sending our sons to Barnard Castle School.They thoroughly enjoyed their time there making good friends.

During the Summer term girls participate in the game of rounders. It is a popular game which provides something for everyone and really is enjoyed by players of all ages and abilities.
There are many skills involved in the game, not to mention the many rules that need to be learnt. Games lessons are spent practising bowling, throwing, catching and batting skills, together with game play which develops teamwork and tactics. There are also opportunities to practise for matches during activity time.
The school has four super rounders pitches and experiences a high level of success when competing against other schools.
