Physics

Is time elastic? Does it pass at the same rate for you as for everyone else? Is it possible to grow more slowly? Could it be true that every move you make affects everything else in the Universe? Can a telescope be a time machine? How is it that the deeper you look in to space, the further back in time you see?

These are big questions. They have troubled philosophers and scientists alike for decades. But now they have the answers and answers that can be proved by experiment.

If you have every wondered about these and the many other facets of space and time, the Universe and everything in it, that puzzle and amaze in equal measure, then Physics will help and satisfy that curiosity.

England rugby international Jonny Wilkinson recently discovered some of the amazing revelations of Quantum Physics. He said of it, 'It had a huge effect on me. The idea that an observer can change the world just by looking at it, the idea that the mind and reality are somehow interconnected it hit me like a steam train.'

The reality of Physics is far stranger than any science fiction.

Our daughter was moved to Barnard Castle School because she had been continually bullied at her previous school. She is so happy, settled in from day one without a backward glance, which makes us very regretful that we didn't move her at the first signs of trouble.
