It is never an easy decision to send your child away to school but the pastoral care at Barnard Castle is outstanding and has given us great peace of mind. Debbie and Clinton Langston I have full confidence in the Headmaster and staff. They show a compelling degree of professionalism and resolve in the school's undertakings.

A group of senior pupils volunteer every year to provide a listening service to other pupils. Trained by the Samaritans, they wear a badge, and offer daily meeting times.
The School is very grateful to them for their time, and we know that the younger pupils in particular value the opportunity to discuss issues with them.
