Holiday Excursions

We are extremely pleased with her involvement in different aspects of school life. She is very happy at school which should help her to succeed.

Educational trips at home and abroad are an integral part of the pupil’s experience at Barnard Castle. The Classics Department regularly takes pupils to Italy and Greece in search of ancient treasures, while the History Department organises annual tours to Berlin or to the First World War battlefields.

Our linguists get the chance to practise their skills abroad, while our Geographers have visited South America. The school runs two annual skiing trips as well as a watersports holiday to France, and our boys and girls have recently been taken on sports tours to Australia, South Africa, Samoa, New Zealand and Madrid.

Those in the army and RAF CCF are able to participate in the annual summer camps and adventure training weeks, while there are are also annual walking holidays run by staff. Our musicians regularly tour abroad, performing in Paris,Barcelona, Cyprus and Belgium in recent years.
