After looking at several schools for our son, Barnard Castle was the one school that stood out from the rest. The school has great family values. You are made to feel welcome at the school and as a parent you are kept informed on a regular basis with life at Barney.

We are fortunate to have two good courses within easy reach of the School. As part of our activity programme pupils receive weekly professional tuition from the Professional at Headlam Hall. They have an excellent 9 hole course which suits players of different abilities, as well as a covered driving range.
Each Summer our more experienced pupils play in traditional matches against local Schools. These are competitive, but also played in good spirit, and often provide welcome release from the pressure of exams.
I am grateful to Mr Everall who assists me, and I am pleased that more and more pupils are taking up the game.
