Geography

It's difficult not to be a geographer with the River Tees just half a mile away, and the North Yorkshire moors within a stone's throw. If it's city development you're interested in then Durham and Newcastle give a lively contrast, and there are any number of local insights into rural economy, demography, and urban post industrial decay.

As it should be, Geography is a staple diet of any flourishing school tapping in to the youthful enthusiasm for volcanoes and earth tectonics and leading to the deeper questions of pollution and the global economy.

Field studies and trips are part of the departmental expectation and sat nav has many more implications than the talking box on your fascia.

The school has given our daughter tremendous confidence, friendships, experiences and most importantly, great happiness.
