20th October 7.30-10.30 - Ceilidh in Big School. Tickets are available from Senior School General Office. Adults £10 and Children £5, price includes a hot supper(vegetarian option available), pudding and soft drinks. BYO alcohol.
Quiz Night on Friday 11th November, in the Atkinson Hall at Prep School. This is your chance to win the coveted Seddon Shield!. You can either put a team together in advance or see who you meet on the night. Whether you swat up on ‘Hello’ magazine, listen to Classic FM, are a movie buff, or a political animal, you’re sure to have something to offer! It’s a ‘Bring Your Own’ drinks event and not to be taken too seriously! Look out for more information in forthcoming weekly newsletters.
Christmas Lunch at Headlam Hall on Thursday 8th December. The annual Christmas Lunch is always a popular event so look out for details on how to book in forthcoming Newsletters
Date for the diary; 4th December – we are planning a Christmas Fair in Big School – for that all important Christmas shopping.
Winter Ball 17th December will be held at the Senior School at 7.00pm. There will be a drinks reception in Central Hall followed by a three course dinner served in the Dining Hall. The Band ‘Chameleon’ will then entertain us in Big School where the decks will be cleared for dancing the night away! Chameleon’s repertoire includes ‘Rat Pack’ swing numbers through to contemporary music. A bar will be available throughout the evening.

It is also worth noting that Barney Friends meet on a regular basis at the NeST in Barnard Castle. Anyone and everyone is very welcome to attend. There is no need to join the committee or make any commitments – just come and have a coffee, meet other parents, and stay up to date with social events and offer your own ides. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 1st November at 9.00 am. All meeting dates are published in the school’s weekly newsletter.
