Extra Curricular Music
We thought very carefully about which school we should choose for our two sons and were keen to make sure that their very individual needs were met. I can with all honesty say that we were extremely happy with the all round education offered to each of our sons.

Music is a thriving part of the school. From the Chapel Choir singing at York Minster, Durham Cathedral and Carlisle Cathedral to the Junior and Senior Orchestras performing at the Gala Concert; from dozens of musical acts vying to be Pop Idol to Houses competing for the coveted unison and partsong trophies; from the 200 lessons every week involving peripatetic staff to the annual musical in the SpringTerm, barely a week goes by without a musical event of one form another taking place.
Rehearsals for the different groups and ensembles occur every lunchtime, and major tours to Barcelona, Cyprus and Paris have been conducted in recent years. We regularly join with other schools, most recently joining with St Andrew's Scots Argentina and Teesdale School for performances.
Members of the public regularly attend our concerts and recitals, and more information about forthcoming events can be found in the news section or by contacting the school office.
