Design and Technology
Design Technology and Art are adjacent to one another and there is obvious synergy between the two enterprises including the increasing use of computers in space common to both areas. In the public exam years students get more than half their marks through coursework, so this is a subject which requires focus and organisation as well as hands-on expertise.
With the same after-hours policy as Art, the Design Technology department encourages pupils to experiment with different materials and construction techniques. Plastic penholders in Year 7 give way to welding and exotic design in the older years.
The school has given our daughter tremendous confidence, friendships, experiences and most importantly, great happiness.
