Barney Friends
Both Senior and Prep Schools offer excellent ranges of extra-curricular activities to broaden the children's experience whilst having fun! A fantastic school, both of my girls can't wait to get to school on a morning!

Who are Barney Friends?
Barney Friends was established in October 2005 with the idea of bringing together parents across each year group and ultimately across the whole school for social events. It can be a daunting experience when your child joins a new school, after all, you are new too and at Barney Friends we want to make sure parents are made as welcome as the children. ‘Friends’ is run by parents for parents. If you would like to volunteer some time to help with Barney Friends, please contact janeconnors@btinternet.com
What do we do?
Since its inception Barney Friends has now moved up to Senior School where we hope to continue expanding our social activities. Over the past few years we’ve had coffee mornings, curry evenings at Augill Castle, dinners at The Oak Tree, Hutton Magna - Overton Café, Reeth, walks, cricket matches for the Dads, providing and selling homemade cakes, strawberries & cream and refreshments on Sports Day, and an Abba Night, etc. (we are always open to suggestions). These events have been open to all parents but informing everyone has, until now, been a challenge However with the advent of Barney Friends own webpage no one should miss out.
“Thank You for the Music"
DVD
Many of you may remember, or have heard about, the superb Mama Mia tribute to Mr Haslam and Miss Lane which was shown at Prep School Speech Day this year. It features the staff and children in a brilliant rendition of “Thank You for the Music”.
Barney Friends is now able to offer copies of this DVD at £5.00 per disc. They make great Christmas presents or simply a reminder of friends and/or time at the prep school.
If you would like to order a copy, please contact the prep school office or Sarah Marlow on sarahmarlow@supanet.com. The DVDs will be available before the end of term.
