Music

We have had two sons, different in nature and outlook, through the prep and senior school and both have been given the opportunity to thrive at Barnard Castle School.'
Simon and Kim Bainbridge

Music plays a vital and vibrant role in the School at every level.

From Chapel choir every Sunday performing in our Chapel, to pupils singing and playing in Pop Idol and talent shows, to annual House Singing unison and part song competitions, to orchestras, jazz bands, ensembles and rock groups, to overseas tours, to annual School musicals and charity concerts, to parents and the community singing in our choral society, to our organists playing at York Minster - the School celebrates and participates in music of every genre.
