Dance
Our daughter was moved to Barnard Castle School because she had been continually bullied at her previous school. She is so happy, settled in from day one without a backward glance, which makes us very regretful that we didn't move her at the first signs of trouble.

Dance is a popular activity at the school whether it be contemporary street dance or more classical ballroom dancing. We are lucky to have two dance coaches at the school.
Miss Baldwin runs contemporary dance for juniors and seniors, and each week large numbers are taken through their paces, leading to termly performances and to Inter House competitions.
Dance also forms a major part of the school musical, with the recent Copacabana being no exception.
Mr Butler teaches ballroom dancing, and large numbers of upper sixth take weekly classes in preparation for the summer ball.
