As well as being an academic subject in its own right, Art is a very popular afternoon activity for lots of our pupils. Both seniors and juniors have allocated times in the the week where they can go to the department to work on their own projects under the supervision of Mrs Cuthbertson and Miss Welsh. The atmosphere is relaxed but purposeful, and if you go down there between 4pm and 5pm you will come across a buzz of happy activity.

At the end of the Summer Term the department puts on its own exhibition of pupils' work - a chance for parents and every one else in the community to see what our talented artists have produced over the year.

Every year students go on to study art foundation and other art related courses. There is a creative heart beating hard at Barney!
