French Trip
We are delighted with the progress our children are making at Barnard Castle Pre-Prep School. It is such a warm and friendly atmosphere, and they look forward to going to School each day.

This popular trip is available to pupils in Years 5 and 6. Le Pré Catelan is the setting for this activity centre, in the heart of the picturesque town of Hardelot Plage on the Opal Coast.
The trip begins with a visit to Park Asterix and a tour of Paris. Pupils learn about the history and culture of France with opportunities to visit Le Touquet market and the WW1 battle sites at Vimy Ridge and Arras. Locally they learn to make pain-au-chocolat and baguettes, and watch cheese being made. Tasting snails is the culinary highlight while activities at the chateau include archery, fencing and acquiring circus skills.
