Learning@Home Provision

The Learning@Home programme is designed to maintain the distinctive breadth of the Barney curriculum across all subject areas, the co-curriculum and the pastoral programme, while striking a healthy balance between time spent on screen, (either in live lessons, or pre-recorded format) and work undertaken outside of class time. All teachers are contactable throughout each School day, and all subject teachers offer support utilising the ‘Call-a-Teacher’ meeting function every afternoon, to provide help, support and feedback on tasks set.

Pupils are expected to be in attendance at School with their Class Teachers from 8.40am each morning and at 3.00pm each afternoon.  Live Maths and English sessions run every morning, with breaks built in during the morning and at lunchtime. Pupils are further encouraged to take part in co-curricular activities between 3.30pm and 4pm each day, with a variety of choices available to all. House activities, weekly challenges and Feel-good Friday messages, are given to all pupils weekly.
